The 2002 National Adult Assessment of Literacy (NAALO will assess the current status of the English language skills of adults in the United States, as well as indicate how literacy proficiencies have changes since the 1992 National Adult Literacy Survey (NALS). The ampel consists of adults 16 years of age and older who reside in prive households at the time of the assessment.
