Census will
continue to submit letters notifying OMB of plans to conduct
collections under this generic clearance. Rather than OMB acting
within 5 days of receipt as proposed on page 5 of the ICR, OMB will
provide feedback via email or telephone within 10 business days.
Per 8/15/01 email from Census, the standard remuneration of
respondents is $30. Each information collection letter sent to OMB
must specify the remuneration amount; requests to compensate more
than $30 will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Conditions of
this clearance is expanded to include uses of the methods to test
the technology used in data collection to improve the quality of
data collected.
