Terms of Clearance: Approved for one year. OMB can no longer hold docket on ICRs open beyond 60 days. The current docket approaches 125 days DOT should resubmit a revised ICR before the new expiration and under take to complete an evaluation which has been agreed upon with DOT staff, as was requested in the original (1998) approval and in subsequent discussions with staff during the current period of review. Please also provide revised cost numbers for Box 14 of the 83-I. the previous cost number had been $25,070(000). We are unsure why the submission shows $0 (or NA) in the supporting statement.

Abstract: The purpose of the FINAL RULE is to require U.S. and foreign air carriers to collect passenger manifest information that can be promptly and adequately provided to U.S. DOT or U.S. Dept. of State in the case of an aviation disaster on select international flights.
