Abstract: The Fish and Wildlife Service collectes information on the status of threatened and endangered species reintroduced as "experimental populations" in order to document the success of introductions conducted to achieve recovery goals. The Endangered Species Act of 1973 provides for the use of experimental population designations under Section 10(j).
