These 17 forms, covering production,
consumption, stocks, and receipts of ferrous metals commodities,
are critical to the metals data collection effort, and are used for
military and civilian planning, and Federal policy and economic
decisions related to the commodities covered, which include iron
ore, nickel, cobalt, manganese, columbium, tantalum, molybdenum,
tungsten, silioon, iron and steel scrap, pig iron, and others. In
addition to quantities produced or consumed, various forms in which
commodities are produced or consumed are requested, along with the
uses of the quantities consumed. These data are compile
