required by the previous terms of clearance, ED conducted a pilot
study in regard to the exchange of enrollment data directly between
NSLDS and lenders, and ED discovered that lenders and NSLDS are
capable of exchanging enrollment data, from a technical standpoint.
By the next clearance, ED shall explore a full-scale reengineering
of NSLDS to allow for this data exchange.
