Provides commercial slaughter, red
meat production and county estimates by species. Federally
inspected slaughter data enable the Food Safety and Inspection
Service to fulfill its responsibilities mandated by the Federal
Meat Inspection Act. Estimates are used by Government, industry and
the private sector in production and marketing decisions, and for
economic analysis and research.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
