Abstract: The information collected under FERC form 2 is used by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to implement the statutory provisions of the Natural Gas Act, Section 8 and 10. The form collects comprehensive financial and operational information from jurisdictional "Major" natural gas pipelines. The information collected on the form 2 is used by FERC staff to establish rates, in rate proceedings, in formal investigations, financial audits and continuous review of financial conditions of regulated and natural gas companies.
