Terms of Clearance: Approval for one year is contingent upon continuation of current audit selection procedures. If OFCCP collects significant amounts of other contractor data that could be used to modify audit selection then this package must be resubmitted. DOL will also: (1) provide, upon resubmission, a progress update on establishing the option for electronic submission of this information, (2) discuss with OMB, by August 9, 2002, the timing for review.of the utility, burden, and method for analyzing compensation data required in Item 8 and (3) report the status and any conclusions drawn from this review upon resubmission of this information collection request. The report on the burden of Item 8 submitted with this collection was not a sufficient examination and in the next submission OMB expects the above review to be more detailed, analytical and to consider respondent assessments of burden.

Abstract: Recordkeeping and reporting obligations incurred by Federal contractors under E.O. 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Section 4212 of the Vietnam Era Veterans' Requirement Assistance Act are necessary to substantiate compliance with nondiscrimination and affirmative action requirements enforced by OFCCP.
