Abstract: The information is used in statutory formulas to apportion $4 billion in FTA funds to transit agencies. The information is also used by transit agencies as a management tool. All levels of government use the information for making policy analysis and investment decisions. Federal, State, and local government, transit agencies/boards, labor unions, manufacturers, researchers, consultants, and universities use this information for making decisions.
