In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for two
years. Upon evaluation of the mandatory price reporting program,
the agency should evaluate the continued need for the voluntary
price reporting contained in this collection. If the mandatory
price reporting program continues beyond 2004, the agency must
provide upon resubmission of this package an evaluation of the
information collection requirements of both programs, including
consideration of the practical utility and need for voluntary
reporting and the identification of areas of duplicative
information collection.

livestock and meat trade reports for livestock, beef carcasses,
boxed beef and pork cuts, calf, lamb, and meat by-products in
making marketing decisions and as a guide to the amount of meat in
the supply channel.
