first year of data collection. Following the Fall 203 fielding of
the Media Benchmarking Survey, CDC will report to OMB the results
of the first year of the MBS, including the response rates
achieved, any difference in awareness between the two surveys and
matching with the Continuous Tracking Survey. CDC will also conduct
analyses to identify potential non-response bias for the Media
Benchmarking and Continuous Tracking surveys.

The collected data will be used to
assess awarness of the brand and messages of the CDC's Youth Media
Campaign VERB. It's what you do. Surveys will be conducted using
two methodologies -1) media Benchmarking Study, which will be an
RDD nationally and in 3 high dose markets at 2 points in time, 2)
VERB Continuous Tracking Study which will collect awareness data
continuously across the nation and in 3 high dose markets, using
targeted samples. This data collection is needed to assist the
campaign planners to refine their strategies for messaging design,
placement, and to inform in specific ways, the media buy.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
