Approved for 9 months. Upon resubmission, DHS will address the following: (1) how the NSEERS program is folded into the US VISIT system for entry and exit; (2) how DHS informs the public prior to entry into the U.S. of their requirements under NSEERS program; and (3) whether and how the NSEERS program will be revised (through regulatory changes or revisions to the information collection requirements), in light of US VISIT, particularly with respect to the "call-in" portion of the program. Further, DHS will provide, by data element, the utility of each piece of information collected under this clearance, based upon the information gathered to date. The Department shall assess the utility of this information in identifying individuals who pose a terrorist threat to the U.S. Further, DHS will transfer this collection from the former INS OMB number (1115-0254) to the appropriate DHS OMB number.
