This study will survey faculty;
undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students; and individuals
who have received bachelor's degrees in science, technology,
engineering, or math since 1992 to assess the nature and impacts of
undergraduate research experiences. The information will allow the
National Science Foundation to review its portfolio of programs
that support undergraduate research to determine whether there
needs to be any rebalancing of activities or objectives.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
