This study will survey faculty; undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students; and individuals who have received bachelor's degrees in science, technology, engineering, or math since 1992 to assess the nature and impacts of undergraduate research experiences. The information will allow the National Science Foundation to review its portfolio of programs that support undergraduate research to determine whether there needs to be any rebalancing of activities or objectives.
