This revision is due to a Final Rule, titled "Hours of Service of Drivers: Driver Rest and Sleep for Safe Operations," which will result in an estimated 48,000 fewer drivers who are subject to the driver's record of duty status requirements covered by this information collection. (In addition, the title of this information collection has been changed to Hours of Service of Drivers Regulations-from Drivers Records of Duty Status. This change was proposed in the NPRM and no comments regarding the name change were submitted.)
