security mentioned in the ICR. OMB will waive the 30 and 60 day
comment periods for resubmission, and will approve the collection
for the additional 2.5 years if the collection can be automated
within that 6 month time frame with sufficient security safeguards
for personal information. The burden estimtes submitted in the
original ICR were wrong, and have been changed to reflect the
correct calculations. ED should work to ensure that ICRs submitted
for review are complete and burden calculations are correct. The
collection was approved verbally in late July and ED has been
collecting the information legally since that time.

Students receiving scholarships under
secton 204(3) of the Higher Education Act incurl a service
obligation to teach in a high-need school in a high-need LEA. This
information collection consists of a contract to be executed when
funds are awarded and a separat teaching verification form to be
used by students to document their compliance with the contract's
conditions.
