often requires us to collect information from individuals and
inspectors involved in growing, packing, handling, inspecting,
treating, importing, and transporting plants and plant products.
When new commodities are approved to enter the US, we collect
information about the commodity before entry of each shipment. The
information we collect serves as supporting documentation required
to issue Plant Protection and Quarantine forms and documents that
authorize movement of regulated articles. This is vital to ensuring
