Abstract: The primary purpose of the data collected on this form is for use in the Office of Refugee Resettlement Report to Congress (8 U.S.C. 1523). The BCIS is required by 8 U.S.C. 1522 to report on the status of refugees at the time of adjustment to lawful permanent residence. The data is used to support internal planning and policy making.
