Abstract: Per section 207(a) of the Clean Air Act, manufacturers or builders of automative aftermarket parts may seek emissions compliance certification if they can demonstrate that their product is comparable in emission performance and durability to the original parts replace. To apply for a certificate of conformity, manufacturers submit descriptions of their product and emission and durability test results, among other information items.
