Abstract: We are proposing to amend our regs regarding the import of wheat from regions affected with Karnal bunt (KB). Our proposed amendments would list regions and articles that would be regulated for KB; increase the flexibility of the regs so they could provide more readily for the recognition of areas where KB is not known to occur within regions where KB is know to be present; describe conditions under which wheat and related articles from regions affected with KB could be imported into the US; and specific cleaning and/or disinfection requirements for imported farm machinery and other equip. used to handle or store
