Abstract: As requested by DHHS, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) assumed responsibility for evaluating the HCV targeted lookback process. CDC obtained approval (OMB # 0920-0462) to perform this evaluation in two phases; the first after completion of the lookback activities mandated by the 1998 guidance, and the second (and final) after completion of the expanded lookback activities, CDC conducted the first evaluation during 1999-2000 (see Attachment 2). However, CDC was unable to complete the final evaluaton prior to expiration of its OMB approval.....
