Abstract: The information to be collected under this ICR is necessary to implement the Clean Air Act Interstate Rule. The program calls for major reductions of the pollutants that cause particle matter and ozone pollution. The information collected will be used by EPA to manage emissions trading program and to track progress in the reduction of emissions resulting from the requirement of CAIR. Respondents include owners of large electric generating units and state and local air pollution control agencies.
