Abstract: Private pension plan administrators are required to file annual reports with the IRS which includes information about future pension plan benefits for individuals who have left the plan coverage. The information collected on Schedule SSA is then forwarded to SSA. SSA maintains the data and forwards information about future pension benefits to beneficiaries at the time the individual claims for Social Security benefits.
