This survey of 8,300 public and private elementary and secondary school teachers is the fifth in a series. It is a follow-up to the 2003-2004 Schools and Staffing Survey (SASS) and collects data on public school and private schools teachers' characteristics and attitudes, as well as the factors affecting their decisions to stay in or leave the teaching profession.
