Abstract: The National Coalition Registry and Annual Survey will define the universe of coalitions that exist in the country and describe their characteristics. The Survey will serve as a way to inform the Institute of the coalition field's training and technical assistance needs. Findings in future years will indicate characteristics that determine coalition effectiveness and sustainability. Resulting information will be important to the Institute's federal partners: the Office of National Drug Control Policy, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and SAMHSA.
