Abstract: The new nationwide toll-free number automatically connects a caller to the poison control center that serves the geographical area from which the call is places. The Poison Help campaign is a vehicle for introducing that national toll-free number for use in poisonings emergencies and providing prevention information to all age groups and audiences. The overreaching goal of the campaign is to improve and sustain general public behaviors that reduce poisonings and raise awareness to the national toll-free number to levels on par with 911 and 411.
