to submission of a request for extension for this ICR to validate
burden estimates and elicit suggestions from the regulated
community for reducing the burden of this program. The results of

National Marine Fisheries Service
(NMFS) manages the crab fisheries in the waters off the coast of
Alaska under the Fishery Management Plan for Bering Sea and
Aleutian Islands Crab (FMP). Amendments 18 and 19 amend the FMP to
include the Crab Rationalization Program (Program). Congress
amended the Magnuson- Stevens Act to require the Secretary of
Commerce to approve the Program. The Program reallocates BSAI crab
resources among, harvesters, processors, and coastal communities.
This collection- of-information addresses revisions to existing
forms and logbooks in this collection for use by crab fishery
participants.
