(Emergency ICR for Critical Use Exempt Reqs)

collection (Request for a new OMB Control Number)
EPA is seeking emergency permission to
request first and second quarter data reporting and recordkeeping
to implement an exemption from the phaseout of methyl bromide for
critical uses. The reporting and recordkeeping are necessary to
ensure an unin- terrupted exemption program, to ensure industry
compliance with the provisions of the exemption, and to maintain
U.S. compliance with the Montreal Protocol. The respondents are
producers, importers, distributors, applicators and users of methyl
bromide.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
