Abstract: These regulations notify the mining community of the information requirements for a Plan of Operations, Notice of Intent, and a Cessation of Operations. These collections provide information to the authorized officer so that the proposed impacts from mining proposals can be minimized through environmental analysis. We expect serious, long-lasting and avoidable adverse impacts to be a common occurrence without this these data collections and through the management of surface resources.
