Physicians and other allied health professionals play a vital role in diagnosing Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and in screening women of child bearing age for alcohol consuption and drinking pregnancy. Maternal prenatal alcohol exposure is one of the leading, preventable, causes of birth defects and developmental disabilities. Children exposed to alcohol exposure during fetal alcohol development can suffer a wide array of disorders. This collection of informatio is an essential step in developing appropriate information tools for physicians and other health care professionals.
