FERC issued a NOPR RM05-31-000 in response to enactment of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 on August 8, 2005. The proposed regulations are to fulfill FERC's responsibilities to implement mandatory procedures requiring prospective applicants to being FERC's pre-filling review process at least 6 months prior to filing an aplication for authorization to site and construct a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.
