The Quick Response Information System consists of two survey system components -- Fast Response Survey System for schools, districts, libraries and the Postsecondary Education Quick Information System for postsecondary institutions. The two survey systems are intended to be low burden, quick turnaround methods of information collection on education issues for which there is a policy need and no current relevant data. Surveys that have been conducted in these include systems include surveys of telecommunications in schools, distance education and remedial activities in postsecondary institutions.
