EPA has
withdrawn the amended ICR. It would have extended the current
approval, which allows EPA to conduct up to 12 focus groups, to
also include approval of the draft final survey instrument and
authorization for EPA to pretest the draft final instrument and
then to implement the final survey. Thus, the ICR remains in effect
as approved prior to submission of the amendment (ie, it continues
to authorize focus groups only).

The USEPA is in the process of
developing new regulations to provide national performance
standards for controlling impacts from cooling water intake
structures (CWIS) for Phase III facilities under section 316(b) of
the Clean Water Act (CWA).
