TSA is continuing the ongoing pilot at
one airport to test and evaluate specific technologies and business
processes related to the Registered Traveler (RT) concept. In
addition, TSA will initiate additional pilots at additional
locations and incorporate a public/private parternership. TSA,
through its partnership with airports serving as Sponsoring
Entities for Enrollment Providers, will collect and retain personal
information from individuals who volunteer to participate in the
program in order to conduct name-based security threat assessments.
