Onions shipped to outlets, other than to fresh market, are exempt from grade, size, maturity, and pack standards, provided that certain safeguards are met. Forms FV-34 and FV-35 (currently approved by OMB under 0581-0178), are used by handlers to apply to the Committee for permission to ship these onions to other approved outlets, and to inform the Committee that the onions were diverted from fresh channels. The new form is used by handlers interested in receiving a credit for assessments.
