The VPSC Program is helping selected
school districts to establish or expand public school choice
initiatives, to provide options for parents to secure a high
quality education for their children, and especially options for
students in low-performing schools to transfer to higher performing
school.
There is a reduction of one
respondent. The revised collection package is needed as result of
an adjustment to the original plan for the National Evaluation of
the VPSC Program. Initially, the evaluation plan was designed to
assess grantee progress during the first half of the program's
implementation. The evaluation was later expanded to cover all five
years of the VPSC program, for which it was authorized. As a
result, the evaluation has been adjusted to include additional data
collection for this final phase, requiring the need to submit a
revised collection package for clearance.
