Abstract: SBLCs are non-depository lending institutions authorized by SBA primarily to make loans under section 7(a) of the Small Business Act. As sole regulator of these institutions, SBA requires SBLCs to submit audited financial statements annually. These statements provide SBA with information on the financial condition of these regulated enterprises. Collection of other information, including interim financial statements are used to update program management on the operational status of the SBLC.
