Official statistics of prices received by growers for the date crop are now being prepared. The 2004-05 crop prices will be final, while the 2005-06 crop prices will be preliminary. Under “Production,” please report the total pounds of the field run by variety and the pounds or percentage of the field run that was Grade A, B, C, or Substandard. Under “Price,” report the overall average price per pound of the field run paid to growers at the packinghouse door and the average price for Grade A, B, C, and Substandard (packinghouse door). Response to this survey is voluntary and not required by law. However, your cooperation is very important in accurately estimating the date crop in California. Please complete the table below and return it to us by May 31. A postage-paid envelope is enclosed for your convenience or you may fax it to 1-888-478-5637. This information is kept confidential and only State totals will be released.
