The regulations govern the grazing of
livestock on the Navajo Partitioned Lands, Navajo-Hopi Former Joint
Use Area; additionally, these regulations conserve the range-lands
of the Navajo Partitioned Lands to maximize future use of the land
for grazing and other purposes. The regulations are a result of a
number of court cases.
