Abstract: The FAA uses this information for determining program compliance or non-compliance of regulated aviation employers, oversight planning, determining who must provide annual MIS testing information, and communicating with entities subject to the program regulations. In addition, the information is used to ensure that appropriate action is taken in regard to crew members and other safety-sensitive employees who have tested positive for drugs or alcohol, or have refused to submit to testing.

Short Statement: The increase in burden hours for collection 2120-0535 is due to the consolidation of burden hours from the previous submission of 2120-0535 and the other associated active collection 2120-0689, which will be discontinued upon the approval of this revision of 2120-0535. Upon the discontinuation of 2120-0689, there will be a net decrease of 215 burden hours between the actions for the two collections.
