MSPB wishes to conduct the Merit Principles Survey to assess the soundness of the Federal merit system. The Merit Principles Survey will ask employees, supervisors, and managers to share their perceptions of the implementation of the merit system in the workplace. The survey results and recommendations for improvement will be reported to the President, Congress, agency leaders, and the public. The report will stimulate discussion and positive change.
The U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board has the responsibility to periodically assess the soundness of the Federal merit system. The survey for which we are seeking approval will help us fulfill this responsibility.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
