USC 60124 Name of Law: Transportation Biennial Reports
Please note that this
information collection reduces burden hours by 5,300. However,
there is an associated estimated cost of $2,337,799. This appears
as a change due to agency discretion. The last information
collection ICR submitted did not include the associated costs -
this ROCIS ICR submission presents costs that did not appear
before. The estimated costs are calculated as follows: 1)
Telephonic Notification 570 telephonic reports requiring 0.5 hours
of preparation = 285 burden hours 285 hours x $64.75 = $18,454 2)
Incident Reports for Gas 210 estimated incidents per year requiring
incident form completion. Time to complete forms is 6 hours. 210
incident reports x 6 hours =1,260 burden hours 1,260 hours x $64.75
= $81,585 3) Annual Reports for Gas Based on past reporting, there
have been 2,880 annual reports submitted by gas operators. The
reports require 12 hours to complete. 2,880 annual reports x 12
hours = 34,560 burden hours. 34,560 hours x $64.75 = $2,237,760
Total Burden Hours = 36,105 (285 hours (telephonic) + 1,260 hours
(incident) + 34,560 hours (annual)) Total Cost = $2,337,799
($18,454 (telephonic) + $81,585 (incident) + $2,237,760
(annual))
