Extension without change of a currently approved collection
Over the next three years, OSEP will: 1) look into the possibility of collecting this data via EDFacts; and 2) incorporate the new race/ ethnicity reporting categories into this collection when they are adopted by the Department. In addition, the information collection provisions associated with the Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers With Disabilities NPRM are not approved at this time. ED will review public comment in response to this NPRM and determine whether any change needs to be made to this collection and resubmit in conjunction with the final rule.

This package provides instructions and forms necessary for States to report, by race and ethnicity, the number of infants and toddlers with disabilities who: a) are served under IDEA, Part C; b) are served in different program settings; and c) exit Part C because of program completion and for other reasons. Data are obtained from state and local service agencies and are used to assess and monitor the implementation of IDEA and for Congressional reporting.
