This regulation sets out the rights of the government and organizations contracting with the government to data developed under federal contracts and data developed at private expense. This will facilitate the use of the public of such data and promote research, both public and private, through a uniform policy. Note: A correction Notice was published in the Federal Register at 72 FR 35436, June 28, 2007 to correct the Annual Recordkeeping Burden published in the 30-day Notice.
