Abstract: To assist parties charged with implementing the education and training provisions of Section 109 of the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002, MARAD has developed a voluntary program of maritime security course approval. Course providers wishing to have their courses designated as incorporating the standards and curriculum developed under Section 109 may submit a Request for Course Approval in accordance with the elements described in this collection.
