The Census Bureau plans to conduct additional survey work under the generic clearance for Data User Evaluation Surveys (OMB number 0607-0760).
The U.S. Census Bureau’s Data Integration Division (LEHD - Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics) is planning a survey to current users of LEHD’s OnTheMap web application. The feedback from this survey will help the Census Bureau decide available options for the next version of the application.
In January 2008, we will post a survey on the web to current users of the application and deliver a survey invitation by email to users who have voluntarily joined the application’s listserv. We expect 300 responses from the emails we will send, and 100 responses from our web site.
LEHD and the Customer Liaison and Marketing Services Office (CLMSO) staff have reviewed and internally tested the questionnaire for ease of use and content appropriateness. We estimate respondent burden at 7 minutes per questionnaire for a total respondent burden of 47 hours.
We plan to maximize response rates by sending reminder letters to the 300 recipients from our listserv.
