LED State Partner Customer Survey Plan

The U.S. Census Bureau plans to conduct additional survey work under the generic clearance for Data User Evaluation Surveys (OMB number 0607-0760).

The U.S. Census Bureau’s Data Integration Division (DID/LEHD) is planning a survey to get feedback from the LED Partnership’s state partners. The feedback from this survey will help the Census Bureau to improve partnership processes such as QA and training, and gain a better understanding of state partners’ data distribution methods.

In March 2008, we will conduct telephone interviews with representatives of our 48 state partners.

LEHD staff have reviewed and internally tested the questionnaire for ease of use and content appropriateness. We estimate respondent burden at 5 minutes per questionnaire for a total respondent burden of 4 hours.

We plan to maximize response rates by having interviewers call back until each respondent is reached.
