Data Plan for the NCES CCD Teacher Compensation Survey


Please respond to the following questions regarding the teacher data you are reporting on the Teacher Compensation Survey (TCS), as requested on the record layout and attached definitions.. Your responses will help us to understand the data that you are reporting.


  1. Will the State Teacher ID that you reported on the TCS remain the same for each teacher in subsequent years (as long as he or she is employed as a teacher in your state)?

  1. Are other staff (such as teacher aides, teachers without valid teaching certificates, librarians, guidance counselors, etc.) included in your TCS data?
