The 2008 National Postsecondary
Student Aid Study is being conducted to meet the continuing need
for national-level data about significant financial aid issues for
students enrolling in postsecondary education. Information about
financial aid policies and postsecondary affordability is critical
to policymakers who determine the need analysis formulas for Pell
Grants, maximum amounts for student loans and other need-based
federal programs.
There is an increase of 73,572
hours and 88,239 respondents due to the current collection being
the full scale data collection whereas the previous collection was
the field test.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
