The State and Local Area Integrated Telephone Survey (SLAITS) mechanism, developed by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) supplements current national data collection strategies by providing in-depth national, state, and local area data. This flexible population-based survey mechanism is designed to collect data rapidly and cost-effectively on a broad range of topics, and addresses a critical need for subnational data. This request is for a generic three year clearance for this package. No additional burden is requested.
